My Little Fluffies~Nightmare Night Special by DragonsAndDreamscape My Little Fluffies~Nightmare Night Special by DragonsAndDreamscape
Happy Nightmare Night! Read all the Fluffies comics here [link]

No, I don't celebrate Halloween. I just can't do that with a good conscience ever since knowing the origins of the holiday.
But Nightmare Night is different! It's ponies! So, here's a Nightmare Night special that is TOTALLY NON-CANNON to the rest of the series! It also features Doccy being 20% creepier!
THIS COMIC WILL MAKE NO SENSE IF YOU DON'T LISTEN TO THIS FIRST!!!! [link]
Also, the style is partially based off of this [link]

Club Penguin inspired my nightmare night comic. Yes.

Oh, awesome, we should meet up sometime! I still play the game, just not as much as I used to thanks to being short on time of late. But I'll usually be there for parties and secret agent events at the very least. :)

I don't know why the origin of Halloween would deter you from celebrating it. It's adapted from the Pagan celebration of Samhain, which is the Summers' End celebration (although it was originally celebrated on November 1). It's just about recognizing that Summer is ending and Fall is here. What's wrong with that.....? :o

While that is partially true, there are also many spiritualistic origins to the holiday.
You can read about it here [link] and here [link]
So that's my reasoning. Doesn't mean I have problems with people who do celebrate it. In fact, one of my closest friends does! I just don't do it myself. :/

ummm...well,not to be rude or anything, but I read through both of those (not learning anything new,but I wanted to be polite and read it all anyway) and I still can't really see any reason not to celebrate it. What part of it's origins, exactly, makes you uncomfortable? Again, not trying to be rude,I'm genuinely curious. It might give me insight in the future.

It's okay, I realize that it seems unusual nowadays for someone to have any qualms about celebrating Halloween. I don't mind your curiosity!
As you know, one of the biggest contributors to the celebrations of Halloween was the belief that the spirit world opened up for the dead to come back and spend one night with the living. This idea strongly goes against my faith. I firmly believe that the dead are to remain sleeping until judgement day, when the Lord will separate them and send them to The Lake of Fire or to Paradise. (Hell or Heaven)
I also beleive that there is no such thing as unsinful witchcraft. God has said that witchcraft is a sin, and I believe.
So as you can imagine, the whole celebration filled with witchcraft and ghosts really gets to me after a while. Long story short, it's core goes against my religion.

Ah. Well,I can respect that those are your beliefs. I have a rather odd mix of religious views myself. My beliefs center mainly around Wicca and Bhuddism. I actually celebrate both Halloween and Samhain, because I think it's a nice way to have fun while remembering those who have left us,and I don't think any of our dead friends or relatives would want to see us sad and mopey because they're gone, but would like to see us happy and enjoying the life they no longer have. And,hey,if we are going to be jubilant in memory of their lives, why can't they come and be happy with us,for just this one day a year? I see no problem with that :) It makes me happy to think that my grandma, who I was very close to when she was alive, would be here to see how much I've grown and how happy I am with life. I know that would make her happy, too.

Wow. Getting kind of emotional here, thinking about her. Pardon.

Since we seem to have very differing opinions on this, and I wouldn't want anything like this to cause a rift in our friendship, shall we agree to disagree and move on?

Thanks! I took inspiration from old-fashioned animations and modern TV show storyboards and ran with it! The result is fun for Nightmare Night.
I appreciate your feedback so much! Thank you for all these comments. I really can't say how grateful I am!

I LOVE THIS!!!! It's so cute!!! The art is epic!!!!

We've never celebrated Halloween in our family. I mean, it sounds like fun to just have a dress-up party but not go trick-or-treating. It's not like we're celebrating anything. But, yeah I've always wanted to call it Cosplay Night or something. XD

Thanks! It was fun to do the Fluffies without all the bright colors for once! Greyscale can be really neat to work with!

Yeah, we've never done it either. Sometimes I wish we could just have a dress-up party for it too. I want to have a Nightmare Night celebration! :D Then we could all wear our cosplays! Oh well. We all get to do Doctor Who cosplay together at my next b-day party, so that's something to look forward to! I think I'll be the TARDIS. I've been putting together a better outfit for it.

Oooh, yeah, that sounds like fun!!!! LOL

Can't wait for your b-day party! Who's Lunar gonna be? You know yet? I'm probably going to be the Tenth Doctor. BTW, I'm working on an Elsie cosplay, so far so good. I walked into my closet, grabbed a few things, and I was all like, HEY, cool!

She said maybe Amy again! I can't wait to see what you pull together for a Ten cosplay! We'll have to take a lot of pictures at this party. One of them will have to be me giving you a piggie back ride! (Tenth Doctor riding the TARDIS! lol!)
You HAVE to post pictures when you finish the Elsie one! The wings were awesome enough!! Can't wait to see what you make now!

Amy! :D I know, I still need like, all of the clothing. I'm sorta unsure about what to wear under the trench coat(hope I'm lucky enough to find a cheap one maybe at Goodwill XD). ><
XD XD Makes sense. :icontardisplz:
Yeah, my Elsie cosplay is so cute so far! I'm thinking I may make new wings too.

Yeah, maybe you can get a suit at a second-hand sale or something. Good luck on finding a coat! Those things are SO HARD to get your hands on!

... sorry, my opinion is much different. Even knowing the origin of it doesn't change my opinion on Halloween being a decent holiday to celebrate... *sob* I shouldn't let my opinion out on your all the time like I do!

No, it's okay! I like hearing other people's opinions!
Some people are okay with the holiday. My friends celebrate it, and I don't think any less of them for that! I just don't celebrate it myself is all.
